Slinky Hose & Holder Kit Review

Finally, now available - a stylish, unobtrusive hose that not only looks sexy but is easy to put away. The slinky water hose with spray attachment and hose holder is a revolution in garden hosing. We all need a hose (or hoses) in the garden so up until now we have had to put up with an eye sore - messily coiled around an even bigger eye sore (the hose reel or a tap). This smart hose being black seems to disappear into its surroundings.
The brass fittings appear to be made of good quality moulds as I have not had any leakage or dripping from the connections unlike my other hose connections. The spray nozzle has different spray settings that can be dialed (nothing new here) - fine mist, super strong jet, sideways spray and shower. The only negative aspect I find is that the shower setting on the nozzle is a little too weak as it does not project very far. I guess that is why it is called 'shower' setting.
It is made of polyurethane and while it stretches out to 16m it puts itself away by coiling back to a neat 80cm. The Slinky weighs half the weight of a standard hose and is impervious to UV. In Australia's era of water restrictions, it uses one third less water than standard hoses.
